the begining...

My wife and I started on this journey back in 2012. We had seen waffle sandwiches on tv and i was telling her about a sausage that my brother and i made where we took a sage country sausage and ground bacon right into the sausage


We had talked about opening a restaurant or food cart for while and this seemed like the perfect fit. Waffle sandwiches with Baconsausage, egg and cheese?? Yes, please! Then we started thinking of what else we could make with waffles... waffles and gravy? Ham and cheese? PB&J?  We had a lot of ideas.... :)


The next summer, Julie and I opened our little waffle stand at a couple of weekend farmers markets to prove our concept and see if people liked it. More importantly to see if we liked it. We had so much fun! We made a lot of great fans and learned a lot. It was hard work, plus working full time jobs, but it was worth it.


We did the farmers markets for a couple of seasons before we took the plunge and opened our food cart in Oct. 2014. We opened our cart in Aloha Oregon in the first food cart pod in Washington County and the first waffle cart on Portland's west side.


Now, 2 years later, we are excited to have traded in our food cart for our first brick and mortar location in the Lascala Building in Downtown Beaverton at 1st and Lombard!
